Ms. Marissa Black
Ms. Marissa Black is a Baltimore native with a true passion for education. She is a graduate from Hampton University where she obtained her B.A. in Elementary Education. Ms. Marissa is currently a High School Special Education and Math teacher. Ms. Marissa’s educational goal is to motivate, educate and elevate every student she meets to help them in their life’s journey ahead.
Ms. Nichelle Brewer
Ms. Nichelle Brewer has been an educator for four years. She has taught 1st and 2nd grades (all subjects) and currently teach 8th and 9th grade math. Ms. Brewer obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Communications Studies with a minor in marketing at University of Maryland Global Campus, formally University of Maryland University College. She obtained her teaching certifications through
two-year programs with Teach for America and Americorps. Ms. Brewer also obtained a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to teaching, her professional career allowed her to travel the world, which presented her with a multitude of opportunities, experiences, and expertise to share with your children. Ms. Brewer is passionate about teaching, is relentless in making sure our students are prepared academically, intellectually, and holistically for this ever-changing world we live in. She wants to see our students WIN!
Mrs. June Hall-Joiner
Mrs. June Hall-Joiner is a Washington, D.C native, who moved to the Baltimore area in 2019. Mrs. Hall-Joiner attended Virginia State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. Mrs. Hall-Joiner has served in education for three years as a literacy teacher for grades 5-6. Mrs. Hall-Joiner is a certified teacher who currently serves as a reading intervention teacher in Baltimore City.

Mr. Davon Rice
Mr. Davon Rice is a Maryland state certified middle and high school English teacher who currently teaches English courses for 10th and 11th graders in Virginia. Mr. Rice has six years of teaching experience in Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Maryland. Mr. Rice believes that all children should have the resources to improve their reading and writing skills. Mr. Rice has obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus on creative writing. A Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on secondary education. Mr. Rice is currently in the process of obtaining his Doctoral Degree in Urban Education at Morgan State University.
